Director's Bio
Sarah M Morreim
Sarah is a still photographer and the founder of Sarah M. Morreim Photography. She has been a professional headshot photographer since 2001. Her work with talent ignited her career in filmmaking and screenwriting. She received training in screenwriting from 'The Loft' literary program in 2002. In 2003, she directed several experimental pieces including the satirical short, 'Banning Meg Ryan.'
Sarah wrote her first narrative short, 'Sisters of Satin' in 2003-2004. Directing the piece was an official 'crash course' in filmmaking. On a shoe string budget, she worked with a talented cast of actors and an aspiring crew.
Since 'Sisters of Satin,' Sarah has continued to work in film. In 1994 she and a team of all women filmmakers partook in the 48hour International Film Festival competition. Their film, 'The Auburn Avenger' made best in show in Minneapolis/St. Paul. In 2005, she was Project Manager for the first annual 'Indie Film Gala' in Minneapolis. Proceeds funded the independent film, 'Test Tube', for which she was an Associate Producer. She currently is the Assistant Director on the independent film, 'Uncle Carl,' currently in production.
Sarah is a member of IFP/MSP, WPVA (Women Professional Visual Artists), and is a founding member of the Minneapolis/St. Paul WIFTI (Women in Film and Television) chapter. She has a Masters Degree in Psychology.
